Pull my finger!

I wanted a cool way to give my nephews money for Christmas so I came up with this.  I taped 20 $1.00 bills together end to end, rolled them up and wrapped them in the box.  On one end I made a hand from Everyday Paper Dolls holding a "pull my finger" sign.  On the other end I put a sign that says "Hope you have a stinkin' good Holiday!" I know I have a warped sense of humor : )  Thanks for stopping by!

Holiday Recipe Album

Since it was marathon baking day around here I thought I would add they cute recipe albums I made.  These were inspired by Mary at cardztv.  Here is her link. http://cardztv.blogspot.com/2010/12/holiday-cookbook-album-part-3.html     I made the top one for myself and the bottom album I gave to my mom.  I used Plantin Schoolbook for the font and welded them together using my gypsy. Storybook for the scalloped square on the front of the album. To make the tab pages I used a rectangle from George and welded a scalloped square from Storybook. Thanks for looking and have a great Holiday!!

Craft Show 2010

I know it has been a month since I posted last.  It seems I spent every waking minute that I was not at work in my craft room getting ready for this craft show.  I told myself I would not wait until the last minute.  I don't know where all my time went :-(  But all is good.  My goal was to at least make my booth rental back.  I did that plus a little extra.  I definitely do not get rich doing this and my husband thinks I'm crazy but it is something I enjoy : )

Break a Leg!

My daughter is in the fall play this year.  Last night was her first performance.  She did a great job if I do say so myself :)  I made a little something for the cast. I used
A Child's Year for both the bone and the tag. I did not get a pic of the whole batch but here are a few.

Birthday Cards

I had to make a couple of cards for my nephew's birthday. They're brothers and their birthdays are 1 day apart.  So I decided to just make the same card twice :P  Their boys, they won't care. They just want what's inside! Lol

You've been BOO'ed

I know this has been done for years. But this is the first year I have ever Boo'ed anyone! I had made up three bags for my youngest daughter and I to pass out.  She had a blast "ding, dong, ditching" haha.  I think I scored some brownie points for still being a cool mom.  And that's pretty hard to come by when your 14 year old will think your cool. Anyway, each included a candle that I tied a ribbon around.  A cocoa slider made with the Cuttlebug and  the Swiss Dot folder. The spider is from Paper Doll Dress Up. Frankenstien is a package of cookies. I cut his hair free hand and used Plantin to cut out the circles for his eyes.  For the bag I cut the moon from Plantin and the witch is from A Child's Year.

National Card Making Day

Today is National Card Making Day :)  So here is what I came up with.  It is nothing fancy and was super quick to make.  It seems that the last several cards I have made has been quick and simple.  I guess that's because I don't have time to spend when I need a card.  Maybe when I do have more time to work on projects  I should stock pile some up.  Just a thought.  Anyhoo, my grandpa has a birthday this week and this is for him.

Slot Machine Explosion Box

This is the second explosion box that I have made.  On this one instead of having multiple layers I decided to add a 3-D object. (Sorry, the lighting in my craft room is not the greatest for taking pics.) I think it turned out pretty cool. I used my Martha Stewart Scoreboard for the box and lid.  The Cricut cuts are from George and Accent Essentials.

Stationery Box

I made four A2 sized cards. Four 3x3 note cards and six tags. I used Tags, Bags,Boxes and More for the tags. And Storybook for the scalloped ovals. The lace is a Martha Stewart punch I picked up at Marshall's for $5.99. I found the instructions for this box here:
